LATEST NEWS ON TRANSFER

HE IS STAYING

Ronaldo told to stay

Manchester United transfer target Cristiano Ronaldo has been warned against leaving Real Madrid by Zinedine Zidane, according to reports in Spain.

According to Spanish outlet AS, Zidane has again told the attacker to stay put.

The publication claims the former midfielder rang Ronaldo on Thursday evening to discuss the reasons behind his exit, and to tell the player to remain at Madrid under their new manager.

United have been heavily linked with the Portuguese star in recent days after his comments in the aftermath of Saturday's Champions League win.
Alderweireld plan

Man Utd will reportedly attempt to sign Toby Alderweireld this week and have outlined their financial plan to do so.

The Spurs defender has been touted to leave the north London club in recent weeks after a breakdown in contract talks.

It is thought there is also a clause in his contract that will allow him to leave on the cheap next season.

And rather than lose out, Tottenham owner Daniel Levy looks set to cash in now on a player that is clearly unsettled.

The Sun report that Jose Mourinho will set aside £50m for the Belgium international as well as offering him a huge contract.
Fekir doubt

Liverpool may end up missing out on Nabil Fekir due to interest from Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.

The Reds are in pole position to land the Lyon playmaker in the coming weeks, with negotiations reportedly already underway between the respected parties.

But club president Jean-Michel Aulas is now planning to play hardball over the attacker's potential move to Anfield.

According to L'Equipe, the Lyon chief is hoping new interest from Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid will drive Fekir's price up this summer.

The 24-year-old will warrant a transfer fee of around £50m at present.

But with other European heavyweights now chasing his signature, a bidding war could ensue in the coming months.

To add, Aulas also wants to keep Fekir until after the World Cup in the hope the player shines for France in Russia.
Pulisic latest

Christian Pulisic’s most likely destination after Borussia Dortmund is Liverpool, says journalist Grant Wahl.

Pulisic is the USA’s hottest prospect in a generation and he’s already made waves in Europe with Borussia Dortmund.

The winger is a long-term target of Jurgen Klopp, who’s looking to splash the cash at beaten Champions League finalists Liverpool.

Grant Wahl, who works for US publication Sports Illustrated, has kept close tabs on Pulisic’s career to date.

And he’s now revealed where he believes the 19-year-old is most likely to end up if he leaves Borussia Dortmund this summer.

“Hi Grant. What's your prediction on Pulisic's next club after Dortmund, and when do you think he'll make the move?,” Wahl was asked in a Reddit ‘Ask Me Anything’ session.

And he replied: “If I had to make a pick, I'd say Liverpool, as soon as this summer.”
